Quady North is committed to the production of small lot, minimally handled wines that reflect the diverse cool-climate vineyards of the State of Jefferson. Our focus is on Vineyard Select Viognier, Cabernet Franc, and Syrah wines that are expressions of the climate, soils, and people who farm them. From the steep, mountain high Serenade vineyard above Ashland, to the coarse, rocky riverbed site of Steelhead Run in the Applegate, our wines are meant to connect the consumer with the terroir of Southern Oregon. In 2006, the first 16 acres were planted on our ranch, followed
by 12 more in 2011. “Mae’s Vineyard” is our own sustainably farmed (LIVE certified), South facing hillside vineyard above the Applegate Valley. Planted to high quality French clones, and cooled by westerly winds every afternoon during the summertime, this is an exceptional site.
Our first wines, a Syrah and a pair of single vineyard Viogniers, were released in December of 2007 with successive vintages of Viognier, Syrah, Cabernet Franc and Rosés of Syrah, Grenache and Cab Franc released to great reviews and accolades. Our highest accolade to date is for our 2008 Cabernet Franc as a Top 100 and Best Cabernet Franc by Wine and Spirits. 

Viognier Steelhead Run Vineyard

From a riverfront vineyard laden with coarse, rocky soils, this full bodied Viognier is wonderfully complex. This site is cooler than most of the Applegate with a consistent breeze that comes up early afternoon creating a fantastic Viognier that is more mineral driven, showing pear and stone fruit qualities.

Sharp and focused, with fine-tuned varietal expression, this is flat out loaded with rich fruit flavors. Orange, lime, pineapple and pear can be found, all beautifully polished.
