Overview

Our Viognier crop in 2020 lacked size somewhat, but made up for the shortcoming in concentration and intensity. This Reserve wine was harvested at exceptional ripeness in late September and entirely barrel-fermented and aged for 13 months followed by an additional 5 months in stainless steel. The aromas and flavors center on crushed pineapple, baked apples, and yellow plum pudding while being bolstered by toasted coconut, vanilla bean ice cream, and Viognier’s unmistakable floral hints. This is a wine that will gain in depth and complexity with age, so we suggest a delicate pairing of simple oven baked fowl (pintadeau de la Drôme) with wild mushrooms and toasted bread with fromage blanc and parsley. Enjoy 2024-2030.
